Here are some good starting points for more information on DocBook, SGML, XML, DSSSL, and Jade.

DocBook - The Definitive Guide (TDG) by Normal Walsh, the creator and maintainer of DocBook.
Mark Johnson's DocBook Bookmarks page has some of the best links to DocBook information and tutorials.
The DocBook page on Norman Walsh's web site has lots of useful information, and good links as well. DocBook and its DSSSL and XSL stylesheets can be downloaded from here.
Selfdocbook by Tim Waugh is a short book written in DocBook that explains how to write and build itself. All the source code is included.
The DocBook page at OASIS-OPEN web site, the official DocBook page has lots of links and information.

Public SGML/XML Software (including DSSSL and XSL) by Robin Cover is an extensive list of free software available, with short descriptions.
SGML for NT by Markus Hoenicka explains how to set up SGML processing tools on Windows NT.
XSL Concepts and Practical Use by Paul Grosso and Normal Walsh is a detailed explanation of XML and XSL.

DocBook XSL: The Complete Guide by Bob Stayton is the hands-on how-to for using the DocBook XSL stylesheets. A must read.

DocBook DSSSL Stylesheet FAQ is a new effort which shows promise.
DSSSL page at OASIS-OPEN web site has lots of links.
DSSSL Digest "contains all the procedures and top-level expressions from the electronic version of the DSSSL standard document." Good reference material for hacking DSSSL.
OpenJade Distribution Page is the repository for OpenJade and its documentation. It has information on getting, installing, and using OpenJade.
