Cascade requires a TCP/IP host name
This message is the first check after loading the configuration file. If you have correctly entered a TCP/IP host name in the Setup window or configuration file, it is likely that the configuration file was not actually loaded. This is most likely due to an improper path name.
When you create a shortcut to Cascade Connect in Windows, you should right-click on the icon and look at the Shortcut tabbed section check the Target: field, for example:. In the
"C:\your\path\name\cascade.exe" -i filename.ini
and make sure it specifies the correct .ini file. Also check the Start in: path to the shortcut. For example:
Alternatively, you can specify the complete path to the .ini file in the command line, being careful to quote paths that contain spaces.
